Early Preschool

Our early preschool classroom, designed for 2-year-olds, is specifically set up for their developmental and physical needs.

We know this age group’s primary goals include figuring out concepts like who, what, where and why. This classroom’s environment puts questioning and learning hand-in-hand while incorporating weekly themes into daily activities.

This classroom also helps your child build vocabulary and phonological awareness through story time, circle time and music and movement. We encourage social skills through small group activities as well as interactive games and songs. Our discovery stations throughout the classroom challenge their creative thinking skills with imaginary play, blocks, puzzles, creative art, sand and water tables, science experiments and books.

The 2-year-old classroom hones developmental skills while focusing on color recognition, shape recognition and problem solving. Learning becomes fun as children begin making associations among animals, colors, functions, sounds, numbers and people.

Our classroom also improves balance, coordination and strength through large motor toys like balance beams, crawl tunnels and big bouncy balls. But we also know this age group needs ample time outside to run, jump, slide and play. Our extra-large, beautifully shaded natural playground provides a safe and stimulating environment.

Our caring teachers know the reason children love coming to Oak Tree Children’s Academy is the relationships they have with their teachers. We strive to make each child feel safe, secure, encouraged and loved. We use positive support every chance we because children respond to it with self-confidence. We focus on telling children what they did right and describing the behaviors we want to see.

At Oak Tree Children’s Academy, we're confident in the quality of our care and are proud to provide access to our classrooms. Parents can watch their children's progress throughout the day. Each of our classrooms is equipped with cameras that provide real-time monitoring through a secure online login. We also encourage parents to call to check on their child, give advice and consult with our teachers.
