Shannon Eckert has loved working with children since the age of 16. She has taken child development courses at Tulsa Tech in high school, later attending Tulsa Community College and attending The Leadership Academy. Shannon has worked for Skiatook Public School childcare program for the last 20 years, working with every age group and as the director since 2008. She loves making a difference in the lives of kids and families. Her favorite part of the day is “when I can read a book to the children, rock a baby, help a teacher that needs to take a breather. I look forward to coming to work every day to see the little faces that count on me to keep them safe. I love watching the children grow and learn, the excitement when you see them conquer a milestone is the best.” She joined Oak Tree as our director in the fall of 2021 and we are grateful for the experience and positivity she brings to our team.
